25 May 2022 - BASF has expanded its automotive coatings application center in Mangalore, India. As an integral part of BASF's existing R&D facilities for automotive coating solutions, the Automotive Coatings Application Center covers an area of more than 400 square meters and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as high-precision spray booth temperature and humidity control and electrostatic spin coaters, and Advanced quick connect system for electrostatic applications. The facility has been carefully designed to enable customer-oriented R&D activities while accurately simulating an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) paint shop.

Narayan Krishnamohan, Managing Director of BASF India Ltd. and Head of BASF's India branch, said: "The expansion of the Application Center is an important addition to providing high-quality coating solutions for the Indian market.
