Axalta announced the launch of Plascoat PPA571 FR (Flame Retardant), a new anti-corrosion coating solution designed to protect buildings and save lives in the event of fire.

Drawing on decades of experience in thermoplastics technology, Axalta developed this novel coating solution to address the dual threat of fire and toxic fumes, which pose a significant threat to human life and well-being. This coating can be used in a variety of environments, is fire resistant and acts as a barrier to additional damage from the spread of flames.



Unlike many other flame retardant solutions on the market, Plascoat PPA571 FR contains no halogen components, such as chlorine or bromine, which helps eliminate the presence of toxic fumes and their associated negative environmental impacts.
